Box volume formula

A rectangular box, or cuboid, fills space according to V=lwhV=lwh.

The base area comes first from lwlw, then the height stacks that base through space.

This is a quick check for storage capacity, packaging, room modeling, and classroom geometry.

Useful extras

  • The space diagonal shows the longest straight line inside the box.
  • Keep all three dimensions in the same unit before multiplying.
  • Doubling only one dimension doubles the final volume.
