When to use each mode

Use the three-side mode when you know every edge and need the interior angles. The calculator applies the cosine rule to each corner.

Use the two-angle mode when a geometry question already gives two angles and you only need the last one.

Quick facts

Every triangle satisfies A+B+C=180circA+B+C=180^circ.

If the largest side is opposite the largest angle, the triangle inequality must also hold before any valid angle solution exists.
