Drawing scale rule

A scale like 1:501:50 means every 1 unit on the drawing stands for 50 units in real life.

To find the drawing length, multiply the real length by rac{1}{50}. The tool keeps that substitution visible so you can verify the ratio before you sketch or print.

Typical uses

  • Architectural plans and elevations.
  • Engineering detail sheets and fabrication drawings.
  • Model-building layouts and printed map references.
